Strengthening Bilateral Ties in Civil Defense

The German Mittelstand GCC Office was honored to facilitate a high-level delegation of German SMEs from the civil defense sector, led by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

This initiative underscores the commitment of German Mittelstand companies to fostering international collaboration, innovation, and security across key sectors. The delegation showcased expertise in fields such as fire protection, cyber security, secure communication, access control, blast-resistant infrastructure, and non-destructive testing.

A highlight was the strategic dialogue with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) of Qatar, where high-ranking representatives from various MOI departments explored innovative solutions and potential areas of cooperation to enhance Qatar’s civil defense capabilities.

Another highlight of the delegation was a joint event and meeting with Rheinmetall Barzan Advanced Technologies QSTP-LLC, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between German and Qatari industry leaders in advancing defense technologies. We extend our sincere gratitude to the German Embassy in Qatar for their invaluable support and active participation.
