Ceremonial Signing of MoU with Qatar Research Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council

The German Mittelstand GCC Office has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the QRDI Council during the Qatar Economic Forum (QEF) 2024. This agreement aims to foster innovation, research, and economic development between the Qatari and German SME sectors.

The MoU was signed by Christian Tarik Schwippert, Managing Director at the German Mittelstand GCC Office, and Eng. Omar Al-Ansari, QRDI Council’s Secretary General, in the presence of dignitaries including German ambassador H.E. Lothar Freischlader and H.E. Saleh Majid Al Khulaifi from Qatar's Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

This partnership will enhance collaboration between research institutions and industries from both countries, supporting SMEs in exploring market opportunities in Qatar and Germany. It will promote knowledge exchange, technological cooperation, and the development of joint research projects.

As part of ‘Innovation Day’ at QEF 2024, we engaged in discussions on utilizing innovation and technology to drive sustainable economic growth. This MoU strengthens Qatari-German relations and supports the goals of the QRDI 2030 Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.

We look forward to advancing these collaborations and contributing to the technological and economic landscape of both nations.
