Qatar Featured as Guest Nation at Zukunftstag Mittelstand 2025

From 8th to 10th April 2025, The German Mittelstand GCC Office coordinated and implemented the programme for a high-ranking business delegation from Qatar in Berlin. The visit marked Qatar’s participation in Germany’s Annual SME Day, hosted by the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BVMW), the country’s largest platform for small and medium-sized companies.

The 16-member delegation included senior representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (Invest Qatar), the Qatar Investment Authority, the Qatar Free Zones Authority, the Qatar Financial Centre Authority, the Qatar Development Bank, and the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council.

The programme consisted of three core events:
– A high-level Evening Reception with selected German CEOs, investors, and institutional partners
– Full participation in the Annual SME Day on 9th April, including a Qatar Pavilion and a keynote address on the Global Stage
– The Qatar-Germany Investment Forum, attended by more than 50 German companies, featuring presentations from all Qatari participating entities

In addition, bilateral meetings were held with senior officials from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the leadership of BVMW.

The programme was developed and carried out by The German Mittelstand GCC Office, and formed part of the broader efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between Qatar and Germany across key sectors including trade, investment, and innovation.
