Germany I April 15, 2026
Qatar Pavilion at Zukunftstag Mittelstand 2026, 15 April 2026 · STATION-Berlin
A Landmark Edition
The German Mittelstand GCC Office organised the Qatar presence at Zukunftstag Mittelstand 2026 for the fourth consecutive year — and this edition was the most impactful to date. On 15 April at STATION-Berlin, Europe's largest SME event brought together over 8,000 businesses, more than 150 exhibitors, and over 100 high-profile speakers across six thematic stages under the motto "Tradition & Innovation."
Qatar on the Global Stage
As special guests of The German Mittelstand, H.E. Abdalla Al-Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Germany, and Abdulaziz Al-Mikhlafi, Secretary General of Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered keynote addresses on the Global Stage to an audience of 200 — underscoring the growing momentum of Qatar-Germany economic relations.
They were joined on stage by Dr. Markus Söder (Minister-President of Bavaria), Bärbel Bas (Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs), Dr. Karsten Wildberger (Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation), Serap Güler (Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office), Johann Saathoff (Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Cooperation and Development), Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel (Chair of the Board, GIZ), Brigadier General Matthias Jozwiak (Deputy Chief of Staff Support, Bundeswehr Operational Command), Otto Fricke (CEO, German Olympic Sports Confederation), Dr. Christian Forwick and Dr. Matthias Koehler (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy), and Johannes Volkmann (Member of the German Bundestag) — as well as senior executives from Deutsche Telekom, BMW Group, and Lufthansa Group.
