Minister-President Wüst in Doha: Strengthening Qatar–Germany Ties

Over the course of two remarkable engagements, the German Mittelstand GCC Office had the honour to support and participate in deepening bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Germany.

At an official dinner hosted by His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, at Sanad Doha – Msheireb Downtown, high-ranking dignitaries gathered to honour the visiting delegation from Düsseldorf. Among the distinguished guests were His Excellency Mr. Hendrik Wüst, Minister-President of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Al-Sayed (PhD), Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The event welcomed senior representatives from Invest Qatar, the Qatar Free Zones Authority, Qatar Chamber, the Qatari Businessmen Association, and the German Mittelstand GCC Office. Keynote addresses were delivered by H.E. Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, H.E. Mr. Hendrik Wüst, H.E. Dr. Ahmad Al-Sayed, and Mr. Christian Schwippert, Managing Director of the German Mittelstand GCC Office, each emphasizing the growing strategic partnership between Qatar and Germany.

Further underlining this collaboration, a high-level meeting at Ras Bufontas Free Zone brought together H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al Thani, CEO of the Qatar Free Zones Authority, with Minister-President Wüst and leading representatives from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Invest Qatar, and Doha Venture Capital (DVC).
